Theme: Innovation and Evolution in Mechanical Engineering
Objectives
This International Conference on Applications and Design in Mechanical Engineering (ICADME 2015) aims to provide a platform for participants from diverse field of Mechanical Engineering backgrounds to exchange ideas and findings to promote cooperation, networking as well as knowledge sharing in both engineering practice and research in higher education. The theme “Innovation and Evolution in Mechanical Engineering” hopes to explore new ideas in Mechanical Engineering in the 21st Century. In the face of challenges in the next generation, there are currently unified global efforts to transform engineering knowledge to produce engineers of the future. As part of this effort, ICADME 2015 aims to gather engineering practices, educators and stakeholders, to disseminate knowledge and discuss innovative solutions to enhance the quality and efficiency of engineering applications.
Furthermore research in mechanical engineering has played a vital role in providing a platform for young researchers for mutual exchange of knowledge towards improving the academic, scientific and research programs. ICADME 2015 aims to bring academics together to share and exchange perspectives and ideas on matters related to research in higher education. Manuscripts having focus on theory, applications, design and/or experimental studies relevant to the conference theme are invited. Other related themes include, but not limited to:
Applied Mechanics and Design
Solid and Fracture Mechanics, Fatigue, Machinery Dynamics, Condition monitoring, Machine Design, Concurrent Engineering, Finite element analysis, Noise and Vibration analysis, Computer aided engineering design, Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping, Tribology, Aerospace, Composite, Reverse Engineering, and Design Optimization.
Energy and Thermofluids
Energy Conversion System, Renewable Energy, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Heat Exchangers, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Alternative Energy, Internal Combustion Engines, and Turbomachines
Submission of Papers
The working knowledge of the conference is English. Prospective authors are invited to submit their original unpublished work through Applied Mechanics and Materials (AMM) website not later than 15 November 2014. The full paper should be in pdf format not exceeding 5 pages, typed on one side of A4 size paper and must follow the AMM format. Further details about the paper format can be obtained from the conference home page http://icadme.unimap.edu.my. Double blind review will be followed in the review process. The authors are requested to follow the steps below while submitting the paper:
-
Fill the ICADME 2015 Paper Submission Information Form (click here to download) and send it to icadme2015@unimap.edu.my. This is required to get ID and password to access the Applied Mechanics and Materials (AMM) website Any inquiries should be sent to icadme2015@unimap.edu.my.
-
After receiving the duly completed form, the corresponding author will receive an email containing the ID and password and also the guidance to submit the full paper through the official Applied Mechanics and Materials (AMM) website. The full paper should not exceed a maximum of five-pages and must follow the AMM format. The template for the full paper can be downloaded here. The authors are advised to submit the full papers before the deadline. Excessive delay may cause such papers to be rejected.
-
The process of blind review of all submitted papers will be done online by the experts in the areas of research of the papers. The reviewers’ comments and submission guidelines will be sent to the corresponding authors through email.
-
Kindly note that the accepted paper will be published in AMM only if the registration fee is paid at least by one of the authors of that paper. Further details about the registration fee and invoice can be sent to icadme2015@unimap.edu.my
-
Once the payment and the full paper (revised) have been received, the ICADME secretariat will complete the registration for that paper ID and inform the corresponding author of that paper. See you at the ICADME 2015 at Penang, Malaysia.
Paper Acceptance
Each accepted paper must be presented by one of the authors after paying the necessary registration fee. Only one paper will be allowed to be presented for each registration. All papers will be blind reviewed by two reviewers.
